Crime rises slightly in 111th Pct. for ’08

Crime levels rose slightly in the 111th Precinct in 2008, although there were no homicides in the northeast Queens neighborhoods covered by the precinct and the number of rapes plummeted, according to police statistics. Comment.

CB 11 wants new schools

Community Board 11 members criticized the city for the delay on a long−awaited rezoning of three northeast Queens neighborhoods and called for changes in the mayoral control system of city school governance at its monthly meeting Monday. Comment.
