Cunningham Park offers host of activities for visitors

At the Oct. 15 meeting of the Friends of Cunningham Park, Borough Sports Coordinator Joseph Mauro presented the Shape Up New York athletic programs in several Queens parks. The idea of additional fitness programs in Cunningham Park was then discussed. Comment

Northeastern Queens residents told Community Board 11 members at their monthly meeting Monday that they were concerned about two projects in the area, including a city proposal to repair boats at the Bayside Marina’s site and the construction of two hotels on a polluted lot in Fresh Meadows. Main break floods Fresh Mdws. streets

Fresh Meadows residents once again had to deal with flooded streets Monday, after a water main break just off Utopia Parkway caused water to rush down side streets and a portion of the intersection of 184th Street and 54th Avenue to collapse, the Office of Emergency Management and the city Department of Environmental Protection said.
