Queens actors to help Fresh Meadows school

Queens performers will turn PS 177 in Fresh Meadows into their own version of Broadway this Saturday in an effort to raise money to buy technology that officials said will dramatically improve the special education students’ school experience. Comment

New York University is planning to expand its campus by 40 percent over the next 20 years. These plans have concerned the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation and me because what NYU can do in Manhattan St. John’s University can do in Queens. Comment

Flushing school turns 60

Three pastors started the Flushing Christian School in September 1950 in the hopes of offering a high-caliber Christian elementary education for Flushing-area students. And they may never have expected that the school would be celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2010 with a gala dinner at Terrace in the Park in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Comment
