Queens Village resident sentenced for ID theft

A Queens Village resident and Haitian immigrant who worked as a tax preparer was sentenced to 2 1/3 to seven years in prison last week after he stole the identity of one of his clients, who was also Haitian, to open multiple credit cards for expenses associated with a pub he owns in Queens Village, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said. Boro man, 40, stabbed in Brooklyn boarding house

A 60-year-old Brooklyn resident has been arrested in the stabbing of a 40-year-old Laurelton man to death late Friday on East 51st Street between Avenues K and L in Brooklyn, police said. The New York Post reported the man, 40-year-old Shayne Sinclair, was a handyman for the boarding house where he was slain. Comment.
