BAYSIDE — Police in the 111th Precinct were investigating a number of home break−ins that occurred over the past week. The burglar or burglars forced side doors or rear windows and grabbed electronics and jewelry, police said. Comment.

Recount should not have happened

It was nice of City Councilman James Gennaro (D−Fresh Meadows) to finally concede the election in the 11th Senate District to state Sen. Frank Padavan (R−Bellerose). But let’s not forget that this occurred after three months and several thousands of dollars of wasted taxpayer money resulting from a recount which never should have been. Comment.
