NFL player arrested at LaGuardia on gun charge

EAST ELMHURST — An NFL lineman was arrested at LaGuardia Airport Feb. on suspicion he carried a .40-caliber handgun in his carry-on bag Feb. 19, the New York Post reported. The man, Da’Quan Bowers, who is a defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, allegedly admitted he did not have a permit to carry the weapon, which he bought legally in Florida, in New York, the paper reported. Man charged with smuggling rhino-horn cups out of U.S.: Post

QUEENS — A Queens man was arrested by the federal government Feb. 13 on suspicion he smuggled ceremonial libation cups carved from rhino horns out of the United States and into Hong Kong, the New York Post reported. The man, Qiang “Jeffrey” Wang, was one of three people charged in a crackdown on the killing of endangered rhinos and the illegal trafficking of their horns, the Post said. Comment.
