Man suspected in karaoke bar attack

FLUSHING—Police were loohing for a suspected rapist in Flushing. On July 14 at approximately 2:39 a.m. a 52-year-old woman was raped inside of Flower Karaoke, located at 162-05 Chrocheron Ave., according to police. The victim socialized with the suspect for around two hours, after which he raped her inside a rented room at the karaoke bar, police said. Comments (2)

Suspect sought in Corona church break-in

CORONA - Police from the 115th Precinct were searching for a man who gained entry to a Corona church last month by walking through a front door and proceeded to pry open a rear office inside, according to the NYPD. The individual attempted to fill a bag with items from the office at the Mount Horeb Church, located at 109-20 34th Ave., but fled with nothing when he heard a church worker, police say.
