The atmosphere at Bishop Loughlin was raucous, the hundreds of fans in attendance jumping out of their seats with every point. The Lions girls’ volleyball team swept St. Agnes on Senior Day and the players were ecstatic afterward, dancing, cheering and enjoying baked desserts. Comment.

Archrivals feel like family, coaches make peace

Instead of verbal barbs, Flushing Coach Jim DeSantis and Campus Magnet’s Eric Barnett tossed bouquets at one another. The two Queens coaches, who nearly came to blows after last year’s showdown between the borough’s top public school programs, made peace this week. Comment.
