Molloy coaching legend Curran still strong at 82

C.J. Davis understands how hard it is for legendary Archbishop Molloy Coach Jack Curran to still put the time and effort he does into coaching. The 82-year-old Curran, starting his 55th season on the bench, has been going for dialysis three days a week for the last two seasons and underwent CyberKnife radiation earlier this fall when a 5-centimeter cancerous tumor was found on his lung in July. Mary Louis hoops coach Lewinger retires but continues role as athletic director

Joe Lewinger has retired as Mary Louis girls basketball coach to focus on his duties as the school’s athletic director. Lewinger, who spent 11 seasons on the Hilltoppers bench, informed the team earlier this week that he would be stepping away and assistant coach JoAnn Arbitello would take over as coach. Comment.
