Parents protest canceled buses

Parents of seventh- and eighth-graders at JHS 194 in Whitestone diligently went through the usual back-to-school routines this year: shopping for clothes, getting last-minute haircuts for their little ones and figuring out what bus to expect to pick their children up at the neighborhood stop. Carriers rally to keep College Pt. mail plant open

Well over a hundred U.S. Postal Service employees gathered with union leaders in front of the Bayside office of U.S. Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-Bayside) Tuesday afternoon to thank him for supporting a bill that would ease the financial burden on the beleaguered agency. Comment.
