Holy Cross edges St. Francis in Brooklyn/Queens final

Another league game against another Queens rival, another Alessandro Acquista penalty kick goal.

For the second time in as many games, the Holy Cross junior scored from the spot, this time eight seconds into the second overtime period, as the Knights defeated St. Francis Prep 1-0 at Alley Pond Park Friday afternoon.

The win capped a second consecutive undefeated league slate for Holy Cross (11-0 Brooklyn/Queens Diocesan), pushing its win streak to 21 straight games.
