Leffler works Glen Oaks room for boro prez votes

Councilman Sheldon Leffler (D-Hollis) used his speaking engagement last Thursday night at the Eleanor Roosevelt Regular Democratic Club in Glen Oaks to reiterate his plans to run for Queens borough president in 2001.

He told 30 people at Temple Sholom at 262-10 Union Turnpike that he is working to develop his candidacy by traveling throughout Queens, speaking to groups and trying to raise funds for his campaign.
