A day after his team lost in the Public School Athletic League quarterfinals to Canarsie, 22-0, Bayside High School varsity football head coach Joe Capuana already seems ready for next year.

But if not for a handful of plays that turned the tide against the Commodores, Capuana and his team might well have been getting ready for next week, not next year.
