3 arrests follow car crash in Laurelton

An Emergency Services Unit police officer returning to his home base after his shift Sunday morning responded to a call and raced to the aid of a carload of people that had crashed into a highway overpass in Laurelton, said Police Office Joseph Bonaventura of the 105th Precinct.

The driver of the late-model Grand Prix lost control of the car while speeding eastbound on the Belt Parkway, at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, said Police Officer Valerie St. Rose. The car struck the highway
