A traffic signal that parents at MS 67 in Little Neck had long fought to have installed was scheduled to be put in place in April 2000 by the city Department of Transportation, City Councilman Sheldon Leffler (D-Hollis) announced Monday.
The traffic signal was set to be installed at the intersection of Marathon Parkway and 51st Avenue in front of the school on April 30, 2000, the councilman said.
