New 105th chief gets baptism by fire

The 105th Precinct Community Council bade farewell to one leader and welcomed back a native son as their new chief last Wednesday night at their monthly meeting.

More than 70 people showed up at the community council meeting held in the station house at 98-02 222 St. in Queens Village to pay respect to Deputy Inspector William Morris, who had led the precinct for the past 3 1/2 years, before his transfer to the 113th Precinct covering south Jamaica, Rochdale Village and parts of Springfield Gardens in the beginning of March,
