A ribbon-cutting ceremony replete with smiles highlighted the grand opening of the new Great Earth Vitamins shop in Bayside on Friday, but for owner Morgan Starr of Little Neck the start of his store has been an opportunity to begin life over as his own boss.
Starr spent about 20 years as a partner in the Thriftway drugstore chain before he decided to look for a way to change his life late last year, he said.
