Road rage comes to Bayside

One man was injured and another was arrested in Bayside Monday afternoon in what police and witnesses described as an act of apparent road rage that went too far.

Roberto Cavalieri, 21, of Flushing was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree after he allegedly hit an older driver over the head with a tire iron after Cavalieri cut the victim off on Francis Lewis Boulevard, Community Affairs Officer Anthony Lombardi of the 111th Police Precinct said.

One witness who helped stop Cavalieri from fleeing the scene described the assault as
