A 58-year-old supervisor at the New York State Veterans Home in St. Albans was shot to death after an apparent dispute with an employee, police said.

Elizabeth Parker, of 144-20 41st Ave. in Flushing, was shot in the back of the head at about 1:35 p.m., Tuesday, and was pronounced dead in her office about 20 minutes later, said Detective George Nagy, a police spokesman who answered reporters
