Ryan Wagner, 19, of 59-57 60th Lane, was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and aggravated harassment, a spokeswoman for the 5th Precinct in Patchogue said.
The police said they were still searching for a second man, whom they declined to name.
The laborers were taken to an abandoned warehouse Sept. 17, the police said, with the promise of being given work. They were brutally attacked with a shovel by one man, the police said. The bloodied laborers escaped, ran to the Long Island Expressway and flagged down a motorist, the police said.
