Creole Junior heading toJunior Olympic Volleyball Championships

Creole Juniors Big Apple 16-1 girls club volleyball team won the 2002 GEVA 16-and-under Regional Championship held at Western Connecticut State University. The players are all high school sophomores in New York City and Long Island.

The girls are coached by Steve Henry and assistant coach Omar Mulgrave. Creole Big Apple is directed by Merlin Thompson and practices are held at Queens College.

They will compete against other teams that have won other regions throughout the United States in the Girls Junior Olympic Volleyball Championship in Salt Lake City, Utah from June 26 through June 29.
