W.O.R.K.S. Little League to hold registration for new year

W.O.R.K.S. Little League is a newly formed baseball league that now serves the children of Woodhaven, parts of Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Kew Gardens and South Ozone Park. It was formally known as Rich-Haven Little League, which has served Woodhaven and the north section of Richmond Hill since 1958.

The league offers baseball and softball programs for both boys and girls ages 5 to 18 years old, as well as summer league and traveling programs. The league is presently holding registration for the spring 2002 season and is also looking for team sponsors, volunteer managers, coaches, umpires and more.

Registration will be held at the league clubhouse, located at 84-01 Jamaica Ave. in Woodhaven on Friday, Jan. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. The total cost for the spring season is $80.
