The Latimer House was the home of Lewis H. Latimer, an African American intellectual who was a pioneer in the field of electricity, working closely with Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison.
The Latimer Fund is embarking on a $150,000 campaign to open and staff the Latimer Historic House and Museum. Individual donations are $75. A table of 10 can be reserved for $750. For more information, call Francesca Romano at 212-360-8249.
