Boars Head topped DG Sunday AM, 54-27, in a hard fought contest. Ben Tockarshewky led all scorers with 20 points. Ali Azizi had 12 and Tom Monte chipped in with 8. Jordan Colflesh made several key steals in the fourth quarter to ensure the victory. Boars Head controlled the boards throughout, as Derek Capponi and Dustin Lee each had 8 rebounds. John Dreyhaupt had 4 points and 5 assists. Dino Zenunvic played well throughout the game. Logan Frankel led DG Sunday AM with 10 points. Leo Nin and Jonathan Soto also played well.
DG Novice Division
Pee Wee Folks Pre-School & After School Center won a close game against McKinley, 20 -10. The score was 12-10 in the final quarter with four minutes to go until Jonathan Ho scored the last three baskets to put the game away. Jessica Brandon was holding McKinley to just 10 points with her tough defense thoughout the game. Chris Efkarpido also scored to lead Pee Wee Folks Pre-School & After School Center to its first victory of the season.
DG Girls A Division
Verdis Restaurant beat Ranshaw Plumbing with an outstanding all-around performance by the entire team, 24-10. Jessica Piccolino quickly put the first four points on the board. Angelica Rodriguez led the teams scoring with 10 amazing points. Katie McGrory scored 6 points, followed by 2 points each for Danielle Cantatore and Britany Naposki. Michelle Lee contributed to the teams defense. Scoring for Ranshaw was Dana Kettering with 6 points and Lindsay Lo Cosa with another 2 points.
