Losito pitched not one but two three-hit shutouts last week as the Mary Louis softball team blanked both rivals Archbishop Molloy and St. Francis Prep.

After scattering three hits in a 2-0 win over Molloy May 5, Losito was brilliant in a pitchers’ duel with St. Francis Prep’s Nina Cecare Friday at Cunningham Park.

While Cecare also gave up just one unearned run on three hits while striking out 14, Losito fanned 11 and walked just three in a 1-0 win that lowered her miniscule earned run average to 0.10 in CHSAA play.

Honor Roll

John McGuinness belted a game-winning two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the McClancy baseball team to a pivotal 4-2 win over St. Francis Prep Monday at the East Elmhurst school. Teammate Randy White hit a game-tying solo homer in the fifth inning ... Matt Rizzotti crushed a pair of two-run home runs for Molloy in a wild come-from-behind 11-10 win over St. Francis Prep.
