LONG ISLAND CITY — An Astoria man was arrested about 9:30 a.m. Saturday after he tried to climb the north tower of the Roosevelt Island Tramway, police said.

Gerard Corrar, 55, of 31-27 49th St., was removed from the tower by emergency service units, police said.

He was arrested in Long Island City and charged with trespassing, police said.
