WOODSIDE — A Ridgewood man was critically injured in a car crash Saturday while standing next to his parked car on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

Edwin Rivera, 29, was pinned beneath his 1997 Plymouth when it was struck from behind in the eastbound lane near Queens Boulevard at 5:05 a.m., police said.

He was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital in critical condition. No arrests had been made and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
