MASPETH — Police are looking for a Hispanic man between 28 and 35 in connection with the May 25 theft of a traffic enforcement officer’s car.

The man, whom police described as being between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall and weighing between 190 pounds and 220 pounds, allegedly stole the officer’s car as the agent was writing someone else a ticket at 58th Place and Maspeth Avenue, police said.

The man drove six blocks before exiting the car, which then caught fire, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
