MANHATTAN — A witness observed a man exit a window onto a fire escape last Thursday at 229 E. 28th St., police said. The suspect fled the location after being chased by the witness, police said.

They both ran past a fire house, where the FDNY joined in the pursuit. One arrest was made and the investigation was ongoing.

Peter Guxman of 1065 Seneca Ave. in Ridgewood was arrested and charged with robbery, attempted robbery, burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
