The New York Community Bank won the DePhilips Athletic Club girls’ softball Major Division championship with a dramatic 14-13 win.

In an intense nail-biter Natalie Prudent and Samantha Dugan pitched well and the girls from NY Community Bank had some stellar defense from Sarah Friedman and Molloy Karlow.

Alyssa Novis, Danni Yaron and Tobey Ben-Aderet kept the bats hot. Lauren Mione and Olivia Karow both caught a great game while Brittany Cervino, Joe Hallmark and Sarah Ho made sure to make the plays at the bases.

Clinging to a one-run lead, Duggan pitched a 1-2-3 final inning, striking out the last batter for the win and the championship.
