Elected officials unite in fight to save Woodlawn firehouse

FDNY officials are claiming that the Ladder 39 fire company will not be disbanded, but are careful not to offer any assurances on exactly what the future holds for the Woodlawn firehouse.

Reading between the lines, elected officials are uniting in a pre-emptive strike to keep the decaying firehouse open in the community, requesting that repairs be made and the station remain in service at a rally on January 22.
