January was National Mentoring Month and the 49th Precinct Explorers took the opportunity to honor their mentors while appointing officers that will serve as mentors for young members in the program through 2006.
A large contingent of Explorers were on hand at the 49th Precinct on Wednesday, January 25, as the precinct welcomed special guests to talk with the youth and encourage them to continue in the life-altering program that gets kids to take law enforcement, academics and their own personal growth seriously.
