Nobody is perfect, but the Christopher Columbus Explorers and Evander Tigers certainly came close.
Both the Tigers and Explorers stood atop the Bronx B II Division with identical 14-0 records and were scheduled to play against one another in the final two games of the season. Although a sweep was necessary to take sole possession of first place, both teams ended up splitting the series with the only true winners the fans who got to see all the action.
Game one was all about Leroyah Showard of Evander. It is amazing that no college is looking at the senior point guard/shooting guard, lending credibility to coach James Braswell
