The community has united successfully in efforts to stop the controversial building of a medical facility on Astor Avenue.
The house at 1464 Astor Avenue and the landlocked lot of 10,300 square-feet of green space behind it will no longer house what was a proposed four-story medical building with 30-40 parking spaces. The facility could not meet new zoning requirements for the area.
