Police are trying to figure out who killed a South Ozone Park man early Sunday morning as he sat inside his parked car on a Jamaica street.
Ravinbranauth Dandhu, 35, of 88-15 107th Ave., was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head on the corner of 112th Avenue and Dillon Street around 7:30 a.m., police said. An unidentified woman, who said she was asleep in the back of the vehicle, was unharmed, according to police.
The woman claimed not to have heard any gunshots but said that her pocketbook was stolen, the New York Post reported. A police spokesman said the woman was questioned but officers did not arrest her.
The investigation was ongoing Monday.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
