The Mets' season did not end the way we wanted it to with their loss to the Marlins. The post-game show brought us a measure of nostalgia with past Mets players appearing for the last time at Shea Stadium.

Mets fans are an enigma, though, in that we have experience over the years of the worst times coupled with the best times. We still keep coming back because we believe in our Mets and that maybe next year they will truly be amazin'.

Let's keep hope alive.
