Man, 27, and girl, 5, shot when fight broke out

RIDGEWOOD — A 27-year-old man and a 5-year-old girl were shot during a dispute between two groups of men in Ridgewood Monday evening, but both victims were listed in stable condition, police said.

The fight took place between two groups of men around 9:30 p.m. Monday on Himrod Avenue in Ridgewood, police said.

Shots were fired during the dispute, wounding a 27-year-old man in his left leg and striking a 5-year-old girl, who was walking with her father in the back, police said.

The man and child were both taken to Wyckoff Medical Center and listed in stable condition, police said. No arrests had been made in the shooting and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
