DOUGLASTON — Police were looking for a person or people who broke into a pair of cars in a parking lot on 248th Street on Halloween and made away with cash and credit cards, authorities said.
Police said two cars, a 2007 Cadillac and a 2001 Chevrolet, were broken into between 2:30 p.m and 3:45 p.m. Friday in a parking lot near the intersection of the Horace Harding Expressway and 248th Street.
Police said cash and credit cards were stolen from the vehicles while they were parked and their owners were not present.
Police said the investigation was ongoing and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
