BRONX ZOO CONTINUES TO REDUCE EMISSIONS

The Bronx Zoo is wholeheartedly supporting PlaNYC, a citywide initiative, by working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at its facility.

The decision to take part in PlaNYC is part of a series of initiatives by the Bronx Zoo with an aim at reducing pollution and bettering the environment in the borough.

The Bronx Zoo received acclaim last April when it opened the largest composting toilet facility in New York City. Both Greenbuidings NYC and The New York Construction News named the facility
