FAR ROCKAWAY — A Far Rockaway man was charged with violating a restraining order after he allegedly assaulted his ex−girlfriend inside her apartment, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
Jeffrey Pickney, 45, of 14 Gadell Place, allegedly punched the victim and pulled her by her hair and jeans last Thursday at around 8 p.m. in her Far Rockaway apartment, according to the criminal complaint.
A restraining order was filed against Pickney in March 2008 that restricted him from visiting his 24−year−old ex−girlfriend’s home, the complaint said.
Pickney was arraigned Friday on charges of criminal contempt, assault and harassment before Queens Criminal Court Judge Suzanne Melendez, who set bail at $7,500, according to a spokeswoman for the Queens DA’s office.
Pickney’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 26.
