Let us hope this is a public rebuke of Bloomberg and his failed policies. Perhaps the electorate is sick of higher property taxes, sky-high water and sewer charges, dirty streets, overcrowded schools and higher transit fares. The mayor has tried to charge citizens higher fees and taxes on just about everything under the sun.
Hopefully, this recent election result is a harbinger of things to come, that the electorate will exercise its electoral power and send Bloomberg back to private citizen status.
