EAST ELMHURST — Police in the 115th Precinct were searching for the hit-and-run driver who killed a young man crossing the Grand Central Parkway on foot early Saturday morning.

At 5:54 a.m., police responding to reports of a pedestrian struck found a 21-year-old man dead on the expressway near 94th Street.

Police learned the man was crossing the Grand Central Parkway when he was struck by a gray SUV, possibly a Ford, which left the scene. He was also hit by a black Nissan Pathfinder and a black Nissan Maxima, police said. Both of those drivers stayed at the scene and were not charged with a crime.

Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to call 1-800-577-TIPS, visit nypdcrimestoppers.com or text 274637 and enter TIP577.
