OZONE PARK — An Ozone Park man was arrested last week in connection with a suspected gang beating in October outside a grocery store near 101st Avenue and 80th Street, the Queens district attorney said.
Naresh Balraj, of 102nd Avenue, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on several charges including assault, in the Oct. 2 incident, the DA said.
Balraj, along with three other men who have been arrested, allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with the victim around 10 p.m., according to the criminal complaint. The argument escalated and Balraj allegedly struck the man on the head with a glass bottle and joined in as the four beat the victim.
The victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital where he was treated for injuries.
