I write in praise of Ronald B. Hellman’s column “The Play’s the Thing.” Not only does he present relevant and interesting information about offâoffâBroadway, but discusses critical issues affecting theatrical productions in Queens.
That such relatively small theaters, beset with recurring financial problems, often strive to offer creative, innovative and accomplished productions is a remarkable feat.
Hellman provides an insightful and valuable resource for both Queens theatergoers and the community as a whole.
