Today’s news:

Ring in the new

Though the weather is likely to remain frightful and December’s glow is rapidly giving way to the darkness of January and February, Queens residents can warm themselves this winter with a terrific array of entertainment, both in the borough and a short distance away in Manhattan.

Below is a small sampling of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, as well as offerings at some of the city’s best music and dance halls.

Take special note of the productions with limited runs or that are about to close.

As always, in the months ahead, From the Footlights will not only recommend the best shows for Queens residents to see, but will profile local artists participating in various productions.

All the best for the New Year and a season of great entertainment and enrichment!
