As oil continues to leak into the Gulf of Mexico from the oil rig that exploded and burned, taking 11 innocent workers’ lives, one would ask how and why did this explosion occur and what safeguards were in place at the time? Also, why is the oil still continuing to leak out, further contaminating the Gulf of Mexico?
With all the modern methods around, they still cannot seem to plug the leak and turn off the valve. Not only will this oil spill have an ecological impact, which will be devastating to sea life and wildlife, but it will also have a devastating economic impact on the lives of thousands who are shrimpers and fishermen.
The American people deserve answers now.
