RICHMOND HILL — Police were looking for a man they said robbed and shot a teen more than two weeks ago.
Jose Cabral, 26, allegedly approached the 17-year-old victim while the teen was sitting in his parked car near 95th Avenue and 120nd Street around 7:30 p.m. June 30, according to police.
When Cabral told the victim he was going to rob him, the teenager got out of the car and fled, but Cabral shot him in the butt, police said.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition, according to investigators.
Cabral is described as a 5-foot-11-inch-tall Latino and approximately 190 pounds, police said.
