Southeast Queens native and NBA star Royal Ivey is coming back home next week to host a special basketball clinic for youth.
Ivey’s skills clinic will take place at IS 192 and Hollis Park beginning Aug. 19. The free three-day event will teach students of all ages basketball basics as well as pointers on how to take their game to the next level.
The event will culminate with a picnic in the park for the students and their families. Other NBA players are expected to appear, too, including D.J. Augustine, Ramon Sessions and Marreese Speights.
