CORONA — A Corona man has been charged with third-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after allegedly violently attacking another man, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown’s office.
Jose Seme, 47, allegedly threw a chair at Maximili Cruz Torres between 7:50 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. Saturday in front of 39-16 104th St, the DA said.
Seme then allegedly punched Torres in the face several times, causing bruising and redness, and allegedly proceeded to break a bottle and stab Torres with it in his left arm and cut his neck, causing lacerations to his arm and neck, according to the DA.
Torres was treated at a local hospital and received about 13 stitches on his arm, the DA said.
Seme was arraigned Sept. 26 and bail was set for $750. His next court date is Sept. 29.
