ASTORIA — A Manhattan man is accused of attempting to burglarize an Astoria apartment, police said.
Alexis Perez, 18, was arraigned Oct. 5 on a second-degree burglary charge after he allegedly climbed a fire escape and attempted to enter Imanul Khan’s third-floor window by pushing his air-conditioning unit into his living space, intending to then enter his residence and commit burglary, police said.
When Khan allegedly confronted Perez, he fled, police said.
Perez was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court Oct. 20.
